Well, I took the plunge. I cancelled my subscription to Mailerlite and am pivoting away from newsletter as my author presence and main method of marketing
The pandemic has changed things in more ways then one, and with the slow pace of my novel-writing, it just doesn’t make sense to me to keep paying for a service I don’t use.
And so I guess I’ll be stopping the main marketing ways I’ve used for the last few years: newsletter swaps and reader magnets for mailing list signup.
Instead I guess I’ll continue what I’ve been doing here on the blog with book reviews (no matter how said or tired I get, I always read. And with my memory issues I have to review books or in a year I’ll end up re-reading the because I forgot!) and post on Twitter and Facebook more.
And keep writing. Anyway, it’s been fun. See you between the pages.
